".... Everything I used in the past would wash off when it rained..."

I wanted to tell you how well "Plantskydd" has worked for me with only one application.

I put it on my Star Gazer Lily and tomato plants early on. I had 24 blooms on the Star Gazer Lily and am having a wonderful harvest of salad tomatoes. Usually the deer eat everything!

Everything I used in the past would wash off when it rained or watered, and therefore had to be applied again and again.

Roses are blooming for the first time in years.

Nicola from Tree World asked if I would e-mail you about our experience with Plantskydd. Nicola contacted me a few years ago regarding the product and asked if she could send us a sample to try out. It sat in our office for about a year and one day a producer came in and was complaining that the deer were killing his trees. It was in the fall of the year and the trees were dormant, so we gave him the 1 lb. powder concentrate to use in his shelterbelts. He applied the Plantskydd and the deer did not touch them all winter (and we have long winters in North Dakota). It lasted six months.

After we got that testimonial, we ordered a supply to have on hand in the spring when we planted trees and had a hard time keeping enough in stock. Since then, we have made sure we have a good supply on hand. People use it on their trees and even in their gardens (flower & vegetable) to repel deer and rabbits. We mostly sell the 1 lb. and 2.2 lb. concentrate, but have handled a lot of the pre-mix 1 qt. for those that don't want to mess with mixing it. And the pre-mixed liquid jug for bigger jobs.

Some of our producers were leery, because they had tried other deer repellents that did not work. But they found that Plantskydd did. I would highly recommend you give it a try.

I was skeptical when I first bought Plantskydd. I had tried everything to discourage deer - Irish Spring soap, egg-based sprays, pepper sprays, urine, Skoot, electric fence - you name it. My frustration intensified when the rabbit population on my country property started growing by leaps and bounds. For several years, I had almost no colour in my flower beds because the rabbits ate everything before the buds could open.

Plantskydd first appeared in a nursery here in the late summer of 2003. I was truly blown away at its effectiveness. True to the product's claim, rabbits and deer immediately stopped eating my flowers after it was applied. Since then, I have continued to use it regularly - about every 4 weeks in the summer (or as needed to capture new growth); about every 4 months in the winter. Overall, I use about 6 litres per year. It's not the cheapest product on the market, but it is the only one I have found that works.
